Female superheroes were in abundance at New York Comic Con.
It's October and if you live in the Tri-state area that means two things: Halloween and New York Comic Con.
The four-day convention celebrating comics, television, and film is taking place at the Javits Center in Manhattan from October 10-13.
While we got excited for the panels, screenings, and exclusives on the showroom floor, one of the main draws is for fans to show off their best costumes. This is their Halloween.
Referred to as cosplay (costume play), many attendees go dressed as their favorite comic, television, or movie character.

Check out the eyes!

The 13 Best Celebrity Career Comebacks

Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan will star with Chris Pine in "Just My Luck" after getting out of rehab this fall.
When actor Chris Pine spoke to Cosmopolitan about his upcoming movie "Just My Luck," he was asked if he had any advice for co-star Lindsay Lohan, whose otherwise successful career has been tainted by addiction and legal problems.
"Our business loves comeback stories. From Drew Barrymore to Robert Downey Jr., there’s a long list of people who have faced their troubles, wildly overcome them, and succeeded," he said. "If anyone can do that, it’s Lindsay."
Like Pine said, Hollywood is no stranger to comeback stories.
Whether it's the child star whose career hit the back burner, only to be revived as bigger and better than ever, or the celeb who overcame drug addiction to find a renewed level of success, take a look at the most famous celebrity comebacks of all time.

After checking into his final rehab stint in 2001, Downey

Jr. returned to acting with a bang. Lead roles in "Tropic

Thunder," "Iron Man," "Sherlock Holmes," and "The

Avengers" have since landed Downey Jr. at the top

of Forbes' list of "Hollywood's Highest-Paid Actors."

Justin Timberlake and his boy band 'N Sync won over the

hearts of pop music America in 1998 with their hit, "Tearin'

Up My Heart." After the band announced a hiatus in 2002,

Timberlake ventured into a solo career, releasing his

debut solo album "Justified" in November 2002.

After taking a break from music for a few years and

focusing on an acting career, Timberlake is back with

not one, but two "The 20/20 Experience" albums and

a massively successful 2013 stadium tour with Jay Z.

The Only Movies You Need To See Before The End Of The Year

Murray Close / Lionsgate
The "Hunger Games" sequel could end up being the biggest film of the year.
Now that it's November, movie season is about to get in full swing again.
Get ready for big name sequels, bigger stars (Jennifer Lawrence anyone?) and a queue of Oscar films (calling Martin Scorsese and David O. Russell).
Recently, there's been a massive overhaul in movie release date changes ("Jack Ryan," "Monuments Men," "The Wolf of Wall Street," etc).
Not sure what to see? We have you covered.

"Thor: The Dark World"

Disney / Marvel
Release Date: November 8
Why to see it: We think we're more excited for the return of Tom Hiddleston as Loki than Chris Hemsworth as the mighty God of Thunder Thor. While the film is receiving decent reviews, the major takeaways here will be the two added sequences (one in the middle and another post credits) and a five-minute preview for next year's "Captain America" film that will appear ahead of 3D screenings of the movie.

"The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug"

Release Date: December 13
Why to see it: If you were disappointed with the first film, this should be the movie where a majority of the action occurs. We'll see the return of Orlando Bloom as Legolas from "The Lord of the Rings," Evangeline Lilly ("Lost") as a fiery elf, giant spiders, Orcs, and, the main draw of the entire film, the dragon Smaug.
Plus, if you're a fan of Benedict Cumberbatch ("Sherlock"), he's voicing not one, but two villains in the film — the Necromancer and the big bad dragon and boy does he sound terrifying.

"American Hustle"

Francois Duhamel / Sony Pictures
Release Date: December 25
Why to see it: Not only does the film reunite Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper with director David O'Russell after last year's Oscar contender "Silver Linings Playbook," but it also adds Christian Bale and Amy Adams to the mix. The film is loosely based on the '70s FBI sting operation Abscam.

Bonus for the kids: "Frozen"

Walt Disney Pictures
Release Date: November 27
Why to see it: Disney's been on a hot streak with Thanksgiving releases the past few years ("Tangled," "Wreck-It Ralph). Disney's 53rd animated film is based on children's tale The Snow Queen and will debut a new Mickey Mouse short "Get A Horse" at the film's start that's made com positing old 1928 stills with digital animation and Walt Disney's voice himself.

Watch This Ferrari Drift In Slow Motion

If you had access to a seemingly endless stable of high-dollar exotics and supercars, what would you do with them? Would you drive them around carefully? Perhaps you'd take one out on special occasions, and then quickly pop it back into the garage for an expensive detail and cleaning session.
Maybe, however, you might be the type of person who would enjoy their cars in the manner in which they should be enjoyed. You might even be the sort of person who pushes these cars harder than that.
The folks behind TaxTheRich are those sort of people. They've treated us to videos of all manner of machinery being driven, and being driven hard. From a Rolls-Royce Phantom drifting across the English countryside to a Ferrari 288 GTO turned into a special stage rally racer, the TaxTheRich YouTube channel never disappoints.
The latest clip combines slow motion moves, a Ferrari Enzo, and a dubstep soundtrack. Now, we're not one to push dubstep upon anyone but the music certainly works well for the shots of the Enzo. The energy level is perfect, the angles are wonderful, and the car is doing stuff that Mr. Ferrari himself would probably cringe about were he able to witness it.

Millions Watched The US Marine Band's Incredible Performance In Macy's Parade Through New York

Millions watched the 86th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, but they got a special treat this year: The Marine Corps Band.
For only the second time in the parade's history, the band marched and performed in the streets of New York, reaching nearly 53 million on the streets and on TV with their music.
“It’s a tremendous honor to be invited into the homes of American families while they get together to celebrate Thanksgiving,” Master Gunnery Sgt. Jeffery Fangman, bandmaster for Quantico’s band, told Ameesha Felton. “It’s one of the greatest opportunities we have to tell the Marine Corps story to the nation and internationally — through music, drill, snap and pop, and through everything we represent as Marines.”
80 Marines made up the formation — coming from Quantico, Va., Cherry Point, N.C., and Jacksonville, N.C.
The band won the chance at performing in the parade through a lottery in 2011, beating out more than 150 applicants, according to WITN.

Drone Technology Could Be The 'Game Changer' In Farming

Some foresee drones watching over Oregon wine grapes in Yamhill County
SALEM, Ore. (AP) — Jeff Lorton says drone technology is the next big thing in agriculture, and he's determined to make sure it lands in Yamhill County, the center of Oregon's world-class wine industry.
Lorton is the county's part-time economic development manager. He's organized a Dec. 9 "Precision Farming Forum" to introduce the concept to farmers, vineyard operators and nursery managers.
In farming, the potential uses of drones include flying over nurseries to do inventory and identifying areas of plant damage, disease or irrigation problems.
