Make an Easy DIY Pour Spout for a Mason Jar

You can store almost anything in a mason jar, but getting a small amount out of it isn't so easy when you have to unscrew the whole lid. The Kitchn has a neat hack to attach a flip-out pour spout to your mason jar with little effort.

You'll need a standard Morton iodized salt pack for this. Use an open-ended mason jar ring to draw a circle on top of the Morton pack, ensuring the metal spout is a couple of centimetres away from the edge. Cut the circle and press it into your mason jar ring. It's just like adding a juice carton's spout to your mason jar, but this one won't stick out of the jar and is made of metal, not plastic.
