Deepika Padukone: My voice in Chennai Express is not dubbed!

Deepika Padukone: My voice in Chennai Express is not dubbed!

The babe who is seen talking in a spicy, fun South Indian accent in Rohit Shetty’s romcom says that it is indeed her voice in the film and she didn’t resort to any dubbing

If you have seen the trailer of the Shahrukh Khan-Deepika Padukone starrer Chennai Express, you must have noticed Dippy’s fun Tamilian twang. The babe has got the accent spot on and since it sounds superb, we really thought the actor has taken the help of dubbing to get it right. But DP, the smart chick that she is, shut us up by vehemently blurting a dialogue in the same signature Tamilian style that she has used in the film and also added tadka by saying it in a dramatic manner.

When asked if she’d done any research to get that flawless South soaked pronunciation right, she sported her impish dimpled grin and said, “Naa…it’s just by fluke.” So think twice before asking the Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani gal this question again; she might show you the sickle, just the way she does in the film…
