9 Things You Can Do To Free Yourself From Negative Emotions

It may be hard to believe, but emotions can become habits that have been formed through repetition. As such, negative emotions can become something that infiltrates your everyday life. Do you find that you’re constantly down on the world and yourself? Do you get annoyed easily and become bitter with people? Is anger your natural response to something? If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, you may be a slave to negative emotions. You need to learn to stop before you actually transform into Walter Matthau.

RECOMMEND FOR YOU
30 Things You Need To Stop Wasting Time On

1. Stop Justifying

First and foremostly, you need to stop justifying getting angry and upset over everything. Stop thinking that you’re entitled to be so negative, because you’re not. The only person responsible for this is you. Do you really want to become that cranky old man or woman that tells everyone they ever meet why everything is awful and why everyone sucks? You know who I’m talking about, you’ve seen them in the grocery line. If you stop justifying your negativity to yourself you won’t have a reason to be angry, and much more people will actually enjoy being around you. Get over the spilt milk.

2. Stop Making Excuses

You need to stop making excuses for both yourself and others. Perhaps you rationalize your own actions and why it’s okay for you to verbalize your anger. Or maybe you create explanations as to why other people deserve your anger. Either way, you’re trying to invent a socially acceptable explanation for your behavior. The only problem is that it probably isn’t acceptable and all it’s doing is keeping your negative emotions alive and making you miserable in the meantime. Eventually there will be no one left to care but yourself. Stop making yourself a victim. Really think about whether or not these other people have actually done anything wrong.

There’s An Amazing Reason Why You Should Convert Your Music To 432 Hz

Everything is made of energy vibrating at a certain speed.  The air, water, grass…even our own bodies.  And of course, music.
Since the International Standards Organization (ISO) promoted the standard in 1953, most music you hear is tuned to 440 Hz – the frequency of its vibrating energy.  Now we are being told that 440 Hz is out of sync with the natural order of things and our own bodies, and 432 Hz would align music with our own natural rhythm.
Just how did 440 Hz become the standard?
Apparently it was first promoted by Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels, after scientific research showed it to be the frequency that most induces fear and aggression.  Apparently there was enough support for such an idea in other countries for the ISO to adopt it as a standard a few years later.
This image shows the difference between the same sound coming through a woofer (speaker) at 432 Hz and then at 440 Hz.  Which explains why 432 Hz music feels like it comes from within, instead of being blasted at us from outside.

Essential Oils to Always Have at Home

If the average person hears the words “essential oils,” it’s quite likely that the first association they’ll make has something to do with the perfume industry, soap, or flaky aromatherapy practitioners. Yes, essential oils (which may be referred to as EOs) are indeed used to perfume various personal care products, but they have many uses other than enhancing one’s mood or making one’s underarms slightly less offensive.
The 10 essential oils listed below have a number of different benefits that range from health care to home and garden maintenance, and many other uses in between. Many other oils out there also have numerous uses, but if you only plan to have a few in the house at any given time, these may be your best bet.

16 Benefits of Lemon You May Not Know About

1. Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia, aka Lavandula officinalis)

If you only plan to have one essential oil in the house, make it this one.Lavender has been used for medicinal and home care purposes for thousands of years, and is one of the most versatile EOs you can get. When it comes to therapeutic uses, lavender can be applied topically to alleviate:
  • Skin rashes
  • Acne
  • Insect bites
  • Minor burns
It’s also an effective disinfectant for cuts and scrapes.
A few drops of lavender oil in a bath can help to soothe frayed nerves and help you get a good night’s sleep, and rubbing the oil into your temples and forehead can relieve headaches. Add a drop or two to a paste of baking soda and water for an effective underarm deodorant, and those same few drops can help to alleviate sinus issues and respiratory infections when added to a steam inhale.
In the home, sachets of dried lavender with some extra oils dribbled in can keep moths away (just tuck the sachets into your closet or chest of drawers), and adding a few drops to your laundry’s rinse cycle can eliminate odors from stinky socks and sweaty gym clothes. Add lavender oil to the water you use to wash the floor to freshen up your living space, and a drop or two placed inside fresh toilet paper rolls will release their scent whenever someone tugs a few sheets free.

2. Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia)

This is one of the most beneficial and useful essential oils to have on hand, and with good cause: it’s often been called “a medicine cabinet in a bottle,” as it can be used to treat almost any common ailment. Although you’d never consume tea tree oil, you can use it topically to treat the following:
  • Athlete’s foot
  • Dermatitis/eczema
  • Acne
  • Cold sores
  • Nail fungus
  • Warts
  • Insect bites
…just to name a few. You can add a few drops of it to unscented shampoo to alleviate dandruff and psoriasis, and a few more drops in that same shampoo will treat head lice as well.
For use around the home, you can add a teaspoon of tea tree oil to the water in a misting bottle to create a disinfectant spray for counter tops, door handles, etc., and a few drops of undiluted oil around your pet’s bed basket will keep fleas at bay.

11 Surprising Benefits Of Coffee That Make It More Irresistable

I love coffee. To me it’s a magical elixir that helps me both wake up and not punch somebody in the face in the morning. But despite being many people’s caffeinated beverage of choice, few know just how good it is for you. So next time somebody goes on a rant about you should quit coffee, drop some of these knowledge bombs on them.

1. It helps to burn fat

There’s a reason why caffeine can be found in most fat burning supplements. In fact, it’s one of very few naturally occurring fat burning substances. Studies have shown that caffeine boosts your metabolic rate by 3–11%, and increases fat burning from 10–29%.

2. It increases physical performance

Get your minds out of the gutter, I mean with sport!
The caffeine in coffee can increase your adrenaline levels. Also, it can release fatty acids from your fat tissue by stimulating your nervous system. They then enter your blood stream and thus become available as fuel. It’s therefore hardly surprising that coffee can lead to significant improvements in physical performance. You can utilize it by having a cup roughly half an hour before hitting the gym or engaging in any exercise.

3. It reduces the risk of diabetes

Research has revealed that people who drink coffee are on average 25–50% less likely to get type 2 diabetes. Obviously, you’ll negate this risk if you add sugar to your coffee…so maybe don’t do that.
In addition to this, a 20-year study showed that diabetics who were coffee drinkers were 30% less likely to die from the disease.

US downgrades India's aviation rating; hits Air India, Jet

US downgrades India's aviation rating; hits Air India, Jet
US authorities have downgraded India's aviation safety rating, citing a lack of safety oversight, meaning Indian carriers cannot increase flights to the United States and face extra checks for existing ones.

The Indian government said it expected to resolve by March all concerns raised by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), including appointing an adequate number of flight operation inspectors, and would approach the U.S. regulator for a review of its decision.

"The FAA has determined that India at this time is not in compliance with the international standards for aviation safety oversight," the U.S. regulator told India in a communication, extracts of which were released by the Indian aviation ministry.

Jet Airways and state-run Air India, the only two carriers that fly from India to the United States, would be impacted by the downgrade. Air India has 21 weekly flights between India and the United States, Jet has seven.

Jet Airways shares closed 3.7 per cent lower after the news in a Mumbai market that ended 0.3 per cent higher.

Openers ruined India in New Zealand, says Sunil Gavaskar

Following India's 87-run loss in the fifth and final ODI against New Zealand in Wellington on Friday, former India skipper and NDTV expert Sunil Gavaskar lamented Indian openers' inability to provide good starts as one of the top reasons for India's 4-0 rout. Among other factors, Gavaskar slammed the tour management's selection policies for the defeat. (Match report)

Not long ago, Mahendra Singh Dhoni's team failed to create an impact in South Africa and the poor performances have continued in New Zealand. While a lot of blame has been put on the India's listless bowling performances, Gavaskar pointed out that India's famed batting equally ruined them in New Zealand. (Highlights)

"India have not got off to a start at all. In South Africa and in New Zealand, we have not got off to a start of say 60-70 runs to make it easy for the batsmen to follow. India need to look into that aspect. India need to look at the combination," Gavaskar told NDTV from Wellington on Friday.

With the World Cup just a year away, India's big task of defending their title has been dealt a severe blow as they failed to register a single win in the ODI series against the Kiwis. To arrest that slide, Gavaskar felt the tour management, led by Dhoni, failed to think out of the box. It was simply too rigid.

"You have to test all the talent available before World Cup. Cannot rule out anybody. There has to be competition for places," Gavaskar said.

Samsung decides to make its crazy bendable TV prototype a reality, will ship this year

via cdn0.sbnation.com
Samsung's decided to make its wildest prototype from CES a reality. The company just announced that it will ship its unusual — and impressive — 85-inch bendable 4K TV during the second half of this year under the model number U9B. As the name suggests, the TV can switch from a flat to a curved screen with the press of a button. The transition takes just 10 seconds or so. When we saw the bendable TV here at CES two days ago the company said it was merely a prototype, and executives even told the press that we wouldn't see the TV again during the show. It seems that interest in the television has made it decide to graduate the TV from tech demo to real product. The company's beautiful 105-inch curved ultra-HD TV (model U9500) will also ship sometime during the second half of the year. You can expect both to be exorbitantly expensive.

A look at Samsung's Smart Home, a central control system for your social appliances

Samsung Smart Home
We've covered a whole lot of Samsung smart appliances over the years: the fridge, the washing machine, even the window. Samsung might not have figured out how to work the window into your standard apartment yet, but it's taking a shot at unifying everything else with the Smart Home app, shown off for the first time at CES this year. The system is a centralized version of various individual apps, with some added Galaxy Gear integration. It's clean, it's futuristic, and to really take advantage of it, you'll need more internet-ready appliances than almost any human being will probably ever own.

Riding the Acton M that's one part scooter, one part Segway

rhondo riding acton m mobility scooter
CES always plays host to a ton of unusual vehicles, and this year's no different — I spent the morning riding the Acton M Mobility Scooter around a parking lot outside the Las Vegas Convention Center. There's more to the device than appears at first glance; it looks like a fairly regular electric scooter, with a top speed of 15mph and range of 15 miles on a single charge. But the Acton M has a few transforming tricks up its sleeve.
Its wheels, handlebar, and seat can be folded away for easy storage — a representative gave the example use cases of carrying it on a train or keeping it under your desk at work — and with the seat retracted, the scooter can be ridden in standing position. Riding it is smooth and easy, feeling a lot less precarious than something like a Segway. The Acton M went on sale a couple of weeks ago after a successful Kickstarter campaign last year, and retails for $1799.99.

4K desktop PC monitors now start at $699

asus 4k revised 640 press ces 2014
4K is a theme at this year's Consumer Electronics Show, and the ultra-high-definition resolution is nearly within reach. Vizio and Polaroid will sell 50-inch 4K televisions for $999, and the entry-level price of a 4K desktop PC monitor has also dropped to just $699 this week.
30HZ IS HALF OF WHAT YOU'RE PROBABLY USED TO
Dell is the company selling a 4K monitor at that price: the Dell P2815Q. It's a 28-inch, 3840 x 2160 resolution screen with HDMI 1.4, multiple DisplayPorts, a bunch of USB ports, and the ability to charge a smartphone and display its content with MHL connectivity. Dell cut a few corners to get to that price, though: it's a standard TN panel, and it comes with one potential dealbreaker: when displaying 4K content, it only runs at the dismal refresh rate of 30Hz. Most 1080p monitors run at 60Hz or better, and recently some PC gamers have been adopting screens of 120Hz or above.

ZTE shows off its own modular phone

Gallery Photo:
Motorola stunned us a few months ago when it announced plans to develop a modular smartphone through a collaboration called Project Ara, but we've yet to see even a prototype of the device. Here at CES, ZTE is showing off its own modular phone concept, named the Eco-Mobius. The model on display is locked behind glass, and try as we did representatives would not remove it from its tomb for a close look. But the concept does show how users could replace the camera, battery, display, and "core" modules. The core includes separate modules for the processor, RAM, storage, and graphics processor.
It's an extremely attractive design. All of the components are snapped together inside of a clear plastic case that conveniently exposes how modular the phone is. However, that's all the Eco-Mobius is for now — it's just an impressive design. As a design concept, this is merely a visual look at what ZTE imagines a modular phone could look like in the future. A representative at ZTE's booth was clear that the company was not developing the phone, though engineers may be working towards addressing the numerous difficulties that must be overcome before a phone like this ever becomes a reality.

Samsung may release iris-scanning Galaxy S5 and new Gear smartwatch by April

Samsung (STOCK)
Samsung has outlined its plans for various new devices in a wide-ranging interview with Bloomberg News. The Galaxy S5 smartphone will reportedly be released by April, and Samsung is said to be considering iris-scanning technology for security in a possible response to Apple’s Touch ID fingerprint sensor in the iPhone 5S.
GALAXY GEAR'S "BULKY DESIGN WILL ALSO BE IMPROVED"
Lee Young-hee, the company’s mobile executive VP, says that a new version of the Galaxy Gear smartwatch will make its debut alongside the Galaxy S5, saying that it will feature "more advanced functions, and the bulky design will also be improved." Perhaps the most outlandish revelation is reserved for the Galaxy Note line — the fourth iteration is pegged for the second half of this year, and Samsung is said to be considering a "three-sided display" to allow for visibility from multiple angles.
