Pantel to enter the Indian smartphone market next month with three new Android smartphones


Pantel Technologies, known for its range of tablets, will soon be entering the competitive Indian smartphone market, PTI reports. According to the report, the Indian company will be launching three new smartphones as early as next month with prices starting from Rs 7,000.
The forthcoming smartphones are believed to be 3G-enabled, powered by 1GHz processor and will be running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. In terms of price, the report says that the three smartphones will be priced between Rs 7,000 and Rs 15,000.
Talking to PTI, Vijender Singh, Pantel’s Managing Director revealed that just like with their range of tablets, they have partnered with BSNL to offer data plans with these phones. In addition, he also revealed that they are developing 4G capable devices that would be launched later this year.
Pantel currently sells tablets like the T-Pad WS708C, T-Pad WS707C and the T-Pad WS702C among others.
