Sony’s Xperia Tablet Z that grabbed the limelight at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) is all set to be launched in India. Back when it launched the Xperia Z smartphone in India, Sony had promised that it will be launching the tablet in May and sticking to its word, the Japanese company has sent out media invites for the tablet’s launch event on May 29.
For those who might have forgotten about the tablet, the Xperia Tablet Z is the slimmest and lightest 10.1-inch tablet in the world at 6.9mm and weighing in at just 495 grams. It features a 10.1-inch 1080p display running on mobile Bravia engine and is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset and 2GB of RAM.
In addition, you will also get an 8.1-megapixel rear camera, 2.2-megapixel camera at the front, 32GB of storage, a microSD card slot, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a large 6,000mAH battery. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Notably, that tablet also shares the same design language as the Xperia Z smartphone to the extent that it even shares its signature power button and also is water resistant and dustproof.
