Videocon VT85C voice calling tablet with 3G support launched for Rs 8,999

After launching the voice calling-enabled VT75C earlier this year, Videocon has followed it up by launching a new tablet called the VT85C. Like its predecessor, the VT85C too has voice calling capabilities and carries a price tag of Rs 8,999.
Talking of specifications, like before the VT85C too sports a 7-inch display, but instead of WVGA on its predecessor, it supports 1024×600 pixels resolution. There’s also a bump in power from 1GHz to a 1.2GHz dual-core Cortex A9 processor supplemented with 1GB of RAM.
On the photography front, the 2-megapixel rear camera has been replaced with a 5-megapixel snapper, though the VGA camera is still retained. Other features included are FM Radio, expandable memory up to 32GB using a microSD card, and a 3,000mAh battery.
Connectivity options include voice calling, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and on the software front, the tab runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. It also comes pre-loaded with apps like Facebook, Opera mini, NQ Mobile Security and Hungama among others.
Priced at Rs 8,999, the VT85C is likely to face competition from the likes of Micromax Funbook Mini P410, Lava E-Tab Ivory and Swipe Halo Value+ among others.
