Facebook acquires Parse for providing tools and backend services to app developers

Facebook has acquired Parse, a cloud-based platform that provides cross-platform services and tools for developers, to enter in to a new dimension of enabling app developers to build mobile apps that work across mobile platforms and devices as well as integrate with Facebook. The social networking platform will use Parse’s cloud services that help developers in accessing and working on native objects for backend services for data storage, notifications, user management, and more.
Facebook recently announced Home, which works as a customized skin integration of Facebook on HTC and also launched new tools and services to help mobile app developers in easy integration of Facebook with their apps. This collaboration with Parse might help Facebook incorporate into its Home initiative and might help enable app developers to integrate their apps with the Android launcher.
