LG Optimus F5 launching in Asia in the next few weeks

LG had announced its F series of Android smartphones earlier in the year at MWC, and now it has officially launched the devices. Starting tomorrow, LG will roll out the Optimus F5 in Europe, but over the next few weeks it will make an appearance in Asia, Central America and South America. This also means that the Optimus F5 could be coming to India pretty soon. Only a few days ago the company had announced its intentions to bring the Optimus G Pro to India.
Features wise, it is a mid-range product. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and has a 4.3-inch IPS display with a qHD resolution. LG has packed a large 2,150 mAh battery and it has 8GB of internal memory, 1GB of RAM, and a microSD card slot to boot. There is a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera.
It runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and has a number of custom LG software features as a part of its Optimus UI like QSlide, Live Zooming, Video Wiz, and QTranslator. These features are quite similar to what Samsung offers with its TouchWiz interface. QSlide is similar to Samsung’s multi-window feature and QTranslator is similar to what users can achieve with S-Translator on the Galaxy S4.
