It might not be apparent from the weather map just yet, but summer movie seasonis just around the corner. On May 3, Disney and Marvel will open Hollywood's most lucrative four months of the year with "Iron Man 3," a sequel to 2010's "Iron Man 2" that takes place after the events of "Marvel's The Avengers." (It's not as confusing as that might sound.)
"Iron Man 3" is a fitting leadoff hitter for the 2013 summer movie season: It's got flashy stars (Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow reprise their "Iron Man" roles), large-scale effects, a third dimension and plenty of marking tie-ins. (Note the LEGO version of Tony Stark.)
If you think "Iron Man 3" is the only game in town this summer, however, films like "Star Trek Into Darkness," "Fast and Furious 6," "The Hangover Part III," "Man of Steel," "The Lone Ranger" and "Grown Ups" would likely beg to differ. In short, from May 3 until Labor Day weekend, Hollywood studios are ready to unfurl their biggest -- and loudest -- offerings of the year. Ahead, HuffPost Entertainment'ssummer movie preview. Which of these 57 movies will you see this year?
