Microsoft Windows RT 8.1 update pulled from Windows Store after it bricks some devices

Last week, Microsoft released the much-awaited Windows 8.1 update. The first major update since the OS released last year, brings with it a lot of new features and improvements. But the latest version of the OS hasn’t had the best of starts and the Redmond-based company had to take down the Windows RT 8.1 update from the Windows Store after complaints of bricked devices.
According to VentureBeat, some users have been complaining about the Blue Screen of Death when trying to update. Others have reportedly got a Boot Configuration error, which shows a message— “Boot Configuration File is missing some required information.”
