Many might complain about being hounded by Candy Crush Saga invitations on Facebook, but there’s no denying the game’s increasing popularity. Developer King has revealed (via The Next Web) the extent of its popularity when it announced that the game has been downloaded more than half a billion times across Android, iOS and Facebook.
For those of you not familiar with the game, Candy Crush Saga is a puzzle adventure with over 400 unique levels and according to King, over 150 billion individual games have been played till date. The game passed Farmville 2 in March 2013 as one of the most popular games on Facebook and the developer adds that one in every 23 Facebook users worldwide is now a fan of the game.
King will continue to celebrate this milestone and has promised that new content and treats are on their way for gamers. You can in the meantime, head over to the Google Play Store, App Store or Facebook to download and play the game.
