Microsoft’s SkyDrive update finally comes to iOS, supports iPhone 5 and iPad mini

Microsoft yesterday updated its Outlook.com service, and today it brings the much awaited updated version of the SkyDrive app for iOS. The SkyDrive application has been refreshed to version 3.0 to support the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini, which it lacked for quite some time. This apart, it has added a few more features and brings an improved user interface to the application.
The new version of the cloud drive comes with photo features, an updated user interface, and brings several other new features and enhancements. To begin with, the app now features updated app icons and boasts an improved user interface for better experience.
The tweaks done to the photo features now allow users to download full resolution images to the iPhone or iPad, and give them the liberty to control the size of the images they upload to or download from the SkyDrive. Moreover, photo metadata is retained when uploading images to SkyDrive.
