Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo entry-level Android smartphone to launch in India for Rs 7,340


Early in April, Samsung had announced an entry-level phone called the Galaxy Pocket Neo, but hadn’t revealed its price or launch date. We are now hearing that the South Korean company is all set to launch the Galaxy Pocket Neo in India for Rs 7,340.
In terms of specifications, the smartphone sports a 3-inch QVGA TFT LCD and is powered by an 850MHz processor paired with 512MB RAM. Other features included on the phone are a 2-megapixel rear camera, 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card and a 1,200mAh battery.
Connectivity-wise the smartphone has dual-SIM card slots and features 3G support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0, while on the software front, the device run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean wrapped under Samsung’s Touchwiz UI.
As an introductory offer, Samsung will be offering buyers 3,000 coins that can be redeemed on Samsung’s App Store to download music, games and apps. Additionally, Samsung in collaboration with Vodafone will be offering buyers 500MB of free monthly 3G data for a period of two months.
