Google to release Chrome OS run touchscreen laptops in second half of the year: Report

The rumor mill has long been buzzing about Google Inc. working on its Chrome operating system based touchscreen laptops. And if theWall Street Journal is to be believed, Google has already developed its first touchscreen laptop featuring Chrome operating system which will reportedly come to the market later this year.
At present, Microsoft’s Windows operating system powers most of the laptop in the market followed by the likes of Apple’s Mac. While it was with Windows 8 OS that touchscreen laptops gained popularity, the introduction of touchscreen compatible Chrome OS by Google will only add to the woes of other players fighting to sustain in the market over the gaining popularity of smartphones and tablets that have eaten a major chunk of laptop market in the recent past.
