Nikon has launched the successor to the famed D7000 DSLR, the D7100 in India starting for Rs 79,450. The D7100 has a 24.1-megapixel sensor, which is an upgrade from the 16.2-megapixel sensor on the D7000. Additionally, it packs an ISO range between 100 and 6400 and it can be bumped up to 25,600 in Nikon’s Hi2 extension mode. Nikon adds a 51-point auto focus system with 15-cross type sensors to the D7100.
Like the D800, D4 and the D600 it also now has the Expeed 3 image processing engine Nikon is gracious enough to provide the D7100 with a pair of SD card slots, but retains the 1,900 mAh battery found in the D7000. It also adds a 3.2-inch LCD display with a 1229-dot resolution and stereo microphones. The display has a RBGW pixel matrix.
