We are not sure whether this is intentional or just a case of poor timing, but Nokia and Verizon have started revealing bits of the Lumia 928, a week before its alleged official launch. Nokia has put up a teaser site that just mentions “Capture the highlights” while Verizon has gone all out and printed an advertisement spread in Vanity magazine that mentions the presence of optical image stabilization complete with Carl Zeiss optics and Nokia’s trademark PureView technology. Though we expect it to be like the Lumia 920 than the PureView 808.
The Lumia 928, which is the Verizon model, and its rest-of-the-world variant (Lumia 925?), is expected to be announced at Nokia’s global press event on May 14 in London. The Lumia 928 is expected to be a slightly slimmer variant of the Lumia 920 and come with a Xenon flash instead of an LED flash. It is also expected to have aluminum trimmings rather than a pure polycarbonate finish.
