Where: Nagaland
Why: The Moatsu Festival is celebrated by the Ao tribe of Nagaland. The festival offers visitors an insight into Nagaland’s rich tradition and culture. Several rituals are performed during the three day festival. Sangpantu is one of the key rituals of the tribals.

Where: Bicholim, Goa
Why: Celebrated by Hindus of Goa, the festival of Igtun Chalne is held at the Lairai temple in Shirgao village near Bicholim. Famous all over Goa as Shirigao Jatra, high point of the festival is the walking on fire by devotees. Thousands of devotees attend the annual to witness the fire walk by devotees known as ‘dhond’.

Why: Mumbai International Women’s Film Festival (MIWFF) is aimed at encouraging filmmaking in women. A one of its kind of festival in Mumbai, seminars, interactions and workshops would also be held as part of the three-day event.

Why: The Summer festival is one of the prominent attractions of Ooty. The flower show, held at the famous Botanical Gardens, is one of the key features of the festival. Cultural programmes, dog shows, boat races and other events are also part of the festival.

Why: The three-day festival is organized by the municipal board and Rajasthan state tourism department. The festival showcases the cultural heritage of the desert state.
Performances by cultural troupes from Rajasthan and Gujarat, CRPF Band Show, Boat Race, Horse Race, Tug of War and Panihari Matka Race are some of the important events. Don’t forget to watch the ‘Sham-e-Qawwali’ event held in the evening. Fireworks display marks the culmination of the event.

Why: An opportunity not to be missed, where one can witness renowned artist from different fields showcasing their talent. It’s a three day festival organized by Potheads, a music and event company. The festival features bands, artists, writers, photographers, painters, graffiti artist, tattoo artists and many more. Exhibitions, workshops, competitions are conducted during the event. The flea market on the right shores of Naukuchital Lake is a paradise for shoppers.
