Xbox One’s design has been getting mixed reactions all around ever since it was unveiled early last week. To try and explain the reasons and the philosophy behind the design, Microsoft has released a video called “Xbox One and Design.”
The six-minute long video has members from the Xbox One design team talking about the different aspects of the design and all they did to make the machine more than just a gaming console. The video highlights how the team went through a lot of concepts before settling on the current design and also focuses on the team’s efforts to make the Xbox One feel like a part of the big TV in your living room.
The team also talks about the subtle design changes on the Kinect and how they have improved the gaming controller by removing the battery bundle at the back and adding force feedback to the buttons at the back, which it calls impulse trigger technology.
