Agrimony

Scientific name: Agrimonia eupatoria
Common names: Liverwort, cockleburr, sticklewort

Medicinal Application

• Used as a gastro-intestinal tonic
• Tannins content in the plant tones the mucus membranes making it is useful for alleviating symptoms of coughs, bronchitis and asthma
• Helps staunch bleeding
• When used as skin wash helps cure minor injures, chronic skin conditions
• Used as a mild astringent, it is effective against diarrhea, especially in kids
• Stops irritation of urinary tract, and is helpful in treating bladder leakage, bed-wetting and adult incontinence
• Useful against certain bacterial and viral infections, tumor growth inhibition, diabetes, and hypertension (high blood pressure)
Arnica

Scientific name: Arnica Montana
Common names: Leopard`s bane, Mountain tobacco, Common Arnica, Mountain Arnica, Mountain Daisy and Wolfsbane

Medicinal Applications

• External application of tincture content of arnica helps cure sprains, bruises, and wounds, and as paint for chilblains
• Treats low fever, physical injuries and paralytic affections
• Effective against painful sensation during exodontia (dental extraction/removal of tooth)
• Useful in treating baldness
• Acts as an effective pain reliever for those suffering from rheumatic arthritis
• Used in the topical treatment of painful and swollen feet
• When used internally it helps treat heart complaints and a boosts functioning of immune system
• Increases local blood supply and accelerates healing
• Increases the rate of absorption of internal bleeding
• Is also effective in treatment of epilepsy and seasickness
