Monica Bedi wins Best Debut trophy at PTC Punjabi Film Award

The actor is elated at receiving her first ever award

Monica Bedi, who has been trying to restart her career in the film industry, hasn’t had much luck when it comes to Bollywood. But the actor still has a lot to cheer about at the moment. After making an entry into Punjabi films and bagging the role of a vamp in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saraswatichandra, Monica has now won the Best Female Debut trophy at the PTC Punjabi Film Awards for her role inSirphire opposite Priyanshu Chatterjee.
She was also nominated in the best actress category for the same film, but did not win the top honours. In any case, Monica is extremely happy about the kind of response she has got for her TV foray and her Punjabi film debut. “This is my year,” exclaimed Monica after receiving the award. Looks like after going through tons of trouble, things are finally looking up for Ms Bedi!
