Philip Treacy, hat maker to the stars and royals, recently announced plans to launch a children's line in collaboration with Thomson, a British travel company.
Putting aside the fact that a high-end milliner is partnering with a travel agency (yeah, we don't get it either), let's examine the most peculiar fact at hand: the maker of some of the world's most elaborate, extravagant hats will be designing for little kids. Who is going to wear these?
According to Vogue UK, the hats will be created with the Sensatori Resort in Turkey in mind -- visitors to the resort will be given hats upon arrival, so the design will be a "limited edition sunhat." But that doesn't change the images in our heads, which have Treacy's wackiest creations sitting atop Hollywood's most precious heads.
