Is Vidya Balan aping Sonam Kapoor?

The Ooh la la girl made us ask oh, why why with her recent appearance… and it looked like a bad imitation of Sonam’s style

Earlier this year, Sonam Kapoor had rushed to Vidya Balan’s aid by defending Vids’ appearances at a film festival. Now, it seems like Vidya is either taking advice from the style diva or has blindly drawn inspiration from Sonam.

At a recent event, Vidya was spotted in an orange saree with grey pleats. The hues were kinda similar to the saree that Sonam had sported at the launch of a popular glossy. The similarities didn’t end there. Vidya’s wingtip eye-liner was also similar to a look that Sonam sported at an award function earlier this year. What more, Vidya had opted to spice up her saree using ear cuffs, which again made us think that she was inspired by Sonam’s ear-cuff look. How we wish, she’d notice that while Sonam’s ear-cuffs looked classy, while her own looked simply tacky!

All in all, we think that Vidya had combined two of Sonam’s appearances and well, the outcome was disastrous. Looking at her make-up, hair-do and choice of clothes, wethinks that Vids is still not out of her Ghanchakkar avatar… Wake up, lady! You could just stick to your elegant Sabhyasachi sarees and we won’t complain!
