Richard Sherman defended, danced and then delivered a message to those who doubted the Seahawks before theirblowout win over the 49ers on Sunday night.
"There are a lot of pundits and ignorant idiots who thought, 'Oh, the Seahawks are going to lose this game.' Well please, please don't doubt us again," Sherman told NBC's Michele Tafoya after Seattle's 29-3 win. "Every time you doubt us, they look stupid."
The 25-year-old cornerback showed why he was named First-Team All-Pro last season, shutting down San Francisco's Anquan Boldin. A week after reeling in 13 catches for 208 yards, Boldin was held to just one catch for seven yards. But according to Sherman, Boldin didn't make any catches when he defended him.
