Chinese smartphone vendors are really upping the ante and pushing the limits of what can be achieved with an Android smartphone. We have already seen Xiaomi attain critical acclaim and now we have another Chinese smartphone vendor in Oppo push the limits. Oppo has launched the N1, which is not any ordinary Android phablet.
The N1 has a massive 5.9-inch 1080p screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core CPU and 2GB of RAM, which is the normal stuff you will find in most self-respecting Android smartphones. But then comes the unusual part – it has a 13-megapixel camera that is clamped above the screen on a mechanism that swivels. This means it can act as the front camera or the rear camera depending on the use case. The camera features a f/2.0 aperture, a 6-element lens, a dual-LED flash and the mechanism can swivel up to 208 degrees. It also has a massive 3,610mAh battery, an O-Touch backside touch panel for gesture controls, and will be available in 16GB and 32GB models.
