Nokia’s Asha 501 already has its own fan base thanks to its new UI, colorful body and a battery that keeps going on. But it is set to get even better as it is set to get the Nokia Music Store on it as well. Nokia spokespersons confirmed to BGR India that the Nokia Music Store is coming to its most high profile Asha phone. They refused to give any timeline for the launch but said that it will come soon. It is not clear at the moment whether new Asha 501 users will get any free subscription period or not. Nevertheless, having the option to buy and download legit music from one of the biggest music stores will be a great feature to have on the Asha 501.
In the meanwhile, WhatsApp continues to be missing on Asha 501, despite being one of the highlighted apps during launch. Nokia says that the two companies are working on bringing the app to the Asha 501. “In the meanwhile, we have provided other messaging apps like WeChat, Hike and Line, among others for Asha 501 users,” said Sari Harju, director mobile phones, Nokia India.
