Asus had accidentally posted an official video of its revamped version of the FonePad 7 confirming its announcement during the forthcoming IFA trade show. First spotted by iDroid, the video shows a new 7-inch voice calling capable tablet which comes with a better set of features than seen on the original model.
The tablet, as shown in the video, will come with a 7.0-inch HD display offering 1280×800 pixels resolution. The video also reveals that the hardware of the tablet will now be powered by 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor, which replaces the 1.2 GHz Intel Lexington processor on the predecessor. Besides the processor, the new version will also offer a better primary camera at 5-megapixel instead of the 3-megapixel camera on the original FonePad model. The software will be powered by Android Jelly Bean 4.2.
The ASUS FonePad 7 will also feature dual-front speakers with Asus’s patented Sonicmaster technology, up to 64GB of external storage on microSD, a new integrated contact interface for easy connectivity, and more.
