Along with the launch of FonePad 7 and MeMo Pad 8 and 10, Asus has also announced its 6-inch phablet – the FonePad Note 6 – at the IFA trade event in Berlin. It is an upgraded version of the phablet Asus had announced at Computex earlier this year.
The FonePad Note 6 comes with a 6-inch full HD Super IPS+ display with full HD 1920×1080 pixels resolution. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with a few customizations done to the interface. On the hardware front, it is powered by Intel Atom Z2580 Clover Trail processor with hyper-threading technology, ticking at 2GHz, and accompanied with 2GB of RAM. It will come in 16GB and 32GB variants though it also has a microSD card slot.
It also sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front camera. The FonePad Note 6 offers up to 23 hours of 3G talk time on its battery. Like the Galaxy Note series, it too comes with a stylus and comes pre-loaded with some apps that support stylus functionality. Additionally, the phablet comes with the company’s SonicMaster audio technology on dual-front speakers.
The FonePad Note 6 is available in black or white colors. Asus has not mentioned the price or availability of the phablet in India.
