Moments ago Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Gear smartwatch at its IFA conference in Berlin. Alongside the aforementioned devices, the South Korean company also announced the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) Android tablet.
Talking of specifications, the tablet sports a 10.1-inch WQXGA (2560×1600 pixels) Super clear LCD display and is powered by a 1.9GHz octa-core processor for the 3G and Wi-Fi version and the 2.3GHz quad-core processor for the LTE variant. It is also bundled with the new S Pen that we saw on the Galaxy Note 3, which has a new Air Command feature that opens a palette of five tools to use the Pen better.
Other features included are 3GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera with a BSI sensor and LED Flash, a 2-megapixel front camera, 16/32/64GB of internal memory that can be expanded to up to 64GB using a microSD card and a massive 8,220mAh battery. On the software front, the tab runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and also includes Samsung’s Knox mobile security feature, which is basically the company’s enterprise and consumer security service.
