Xolo enters the tablet market, launches the Tab with 3G and voice calling for Rs 13,499


After recently launching two Android smartphones, the Q1000s and Play T1000, Xolo has debuted in the tablet segment with the launch its first tablet named as the Tab. The Xolo Tab comes with an 8-inch display, 3G network compatibility, and is available at a competitive price for Rs 13,499.
The tablet comes with an 8-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1024×768 pixels. It runs on relatively older Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8225Q quad-core processor clocking at 1.2GHz, with 1GB of RAM and Adreno 203 GPU.
It comes equipped with 4GB of internal memory of which 2.5GB is users-available along with external memory support for up to 32GB using a microSD card. Other features include a 2-megapixel rear camera, a VGA front camera which supports 3G video calls, and is capable of playing HD videos at 720p @30fps.
On the connectivity front, it supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, AGPS and 3G video and voice calling. The tablet runs on a 4,000mAh battery, which as per the company’s claims offers up to 12 hours of talktime and 360 hours of standby time on 3G
